How To: Reinstall The LED Lights In The Sideline Elite Series Electric Fireplace

Problem: The flames are no longer visible when the fireplace is turned on.

Solution: Replace the LED lights.


Models Supported:

80052 - Forte Elite 40"

80042 - Elite 42"

80036 - Elite 50"

80037 - Elite 60"

80038 - Elite 72"

80050 - Elite 84"

80044 - Elite 100"


Tools Required:


 - Phillips Screwdriver 

 - Needle-nose plyers


Instructions: 



1. Turn Off Sideline Elite Fireplace.


2. Remove the glass panel from the fireplace by removing the 2 screws holding the panel in place.

3. Once the glass panel is removed, remove the firelog/glass crystals and 2 side pieces inside the fireplace opening.

4. Remove the 4 screws holding the bar at the top of the flame display board.

5. Once the bar is removed, remove the flame display board.

6. After removing the flame display board, remove the 4 screws holding the flame panel in place.

7. Once the unit is open, locate the LED Light strips.

8. Check the connection for the defective strip to make sure the cable is connected properly to the strip.

9. To replace the LED light strip, disconnect the cable from the LED light strip.

10. After the cable is disconnected, remove the defective LED light strip from the fireplace. To remove, pinch the clips holding the LED light strip in place and lift the LED light strip up to remove.


**Note: Needle-nose plyers are helpful to pinch the holders and release the LED light strip from the clips.

11. Once the LED light strip is removed, connect to LED light cable to the replacement strip and place the LED strip back on the clips in the fireplace.

Reattach LED light strip to clips.

12. Once installed, test the fireplace by running the flames.


13. Once satisfied, reinstall the flame panel and refasten the 4 screws holding the panel in place.

14. Once the flame panel is installed, reinstall the flame display board and the bar holding the bar in place.

15. Reinstall the bar at the top of the flame display panel.

16. Reinstall the 2 side panels.

17. Once the side panels are reinstalled, reinstall the log/crystals and front glass panel.
