1. Set aside you hardware and wood parts with the part letter sticker up. Having it laid out and ready to find will make your setup much easier.
2. When assembling, the taller trim is at the top.
3. Hand-tighten your cam lock screws. Don’t use a drill.
4. Your corner braces (Part J), fireplace base (part L) and vertical frames (part K) are not pre-drilled on the mantel. Use an electric screwdriver to secure these while keeping them in the snug into the corner.
5. The base of the mantel which your fireplace sits on has the flat portion facing up.
6. Secure your mantel to the wall using Part L. You can attach them to the inside of the mantel to hide them, but it will require a shorter screwdriver.
