My Touchstone Smart Wifi Electric Fireplace does not turn on or keeps shutting off the heater even though the flames are still on. Why?

All Touchstone Smart Wifi Electric Fireplaces have a thermostat used to measure ambient air temperature. Be sure you set the thermostat to the unit's "always on" setting if you wish to have continuous heat.  If you set the thermostat to a certain temperature, the heater will shut off when the ambient temperature at the fireplace reaches that set temperature.
