Our electric fireplaces are designed so that only the faux full log set or crystals are to be used, not both at the same time. The reason for this is that if you placed your faux full log set on top of the ember crystals, you will block the flames from being visible behind the faux full log set. The ember bed lights in the fireplace will also not illuminate the faux full log set.
