Problem: There is a rattling noise when the flames are moving. This is most likely due to the flame rod coming out of it's socket.
Solution: Reinstall the flame rod.

80014 - Sideline 36"
80015 - Sideline 72"
80025 - Sideline 45"
80027 - Sideline 40"
80032 - Sideline 100"
80043 - Sideline 84"
Tools Required:
- Philips-head screw driver
- Needle-nose plyers
Instructions:
- Turn Off Sideline Fireplace.
2. Remove glass panel from fireplace and remove fireplace from wall.
3. Remove the screws from the rear of the fireplace. The picture below shows the 80004 – Sideline50 Fireplace. For units smaller than 50”, there will be less screws, but they will all be in the same general location as the arrows below. For units larger than 50”, there will be more screws.
4. After removing the back panel, inspect the motor and flame rod to see if the rod is loose or if there are any zip ties that have not been cut down.

5. Also check to see if the flame rod is out of its’ socket.
6. If the flame rod is out of its’ socket, bend the rod and place the flame rod back into the socket.
7. After reinstalling the flame rod. Reinstall the back panel on the fireplace.
8. Test fireplace before hanging fireplace back on wall and installing glass panel.
