How to: Troubleshoot the Remote Sensor in the Sideline Series Electric Fireplace

Problem: Fireplace is not responding to RF Remote Control 

Solution: Change the batteries in the remote, if the problem persists, check the sensor in the fireplace. 

Models Supported: 

  • 80004 - Sideline 50" 
  • 80006 - Forte 40" 
  • 80011 - Sideline 60" 
  • 80014 - Sideline 36" 
  • 80015 - Sideline 72" 
  • 80025 - Sideline 45" 
  • 80027 - Sideline 40" 
  • 80032 - Sideline 100" 
  • 80043 - Sideline 84"


Tools Required: 

    - Philips head screwdriver 

Instructions: 

1. Remove the glass panel from the fireplace by unscrewing 2 screws located on each side of the vents. 



2. Remove the glass panel by sliding it upwards. 


 

3. Remove the media and unscrew the metal bracket which secures the display panel at the top. Remove the bracket from the fireplace. 



4. You should now be able to remove the display panel. 



5. The RF Remote Sensor is located right behind the display panel. Make sure the connector is fully connected. You can unplug it and reconnect it to make sure it’s tightly plugged in.
